The Press Operator Assistant will be a part of the team that assists the Press Operators with manual and machine tasks in set-up, maintenance, and operation of the printing presses. The Press Assistant will leverage their knowledge and skills to perform all duties required to accurately set up jobs for production, which will help bring our customers' labels and packaging to life, enabling them to stand out over the competition, and create a customer experience that is second to none. Shift Available: Monday-Friday, 1pm-9pm; OT as needed (training will be Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm)

Key Responsibilities for a Press Operator Assistant include:

Support the Press Operator in delivering customer jobs, including set-up, maintenance, and operation

Support the team with repairs, ordering parts, and supplies

Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation for the pressroom

Maintain a clean and organized work area and pressroom

Observe company work rules and safety regulations

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

Ability to think through the process of setting up specific print jobs including prioritizing tasks to meet workflow

Effective time management on multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines.

Good math, measurement, reading, writing, and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalities

High levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization

Clear and effective communication in English, both orally and in writing, to all levels of people inside and outside the organization

Education, Skills, and Experience:

Required: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed, as well as meet the physical demands, including standing for long periods of time, visual acuity, and dexterity of hands

Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent

A Plus: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
