SRE – Java

Location: Sunnyvale, CA/Austin, TX

Max: $50/hr on W2

Must have worked for a min. 5+ yrs as a Java developer (Spring framework preferred)

Sound knowledge on Java / J2EE internals (ClassLoading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)

Must have experience with Relational Databases (Oracle, My SQL). Working knowledge of NoSQL (Cassandra, Kafka) highly preferred.

Must have experience in making applications production ready and deploying using Docker, Kubernetes

Must have experience with Continuous Integration systems (Jenkins, GitLab...)

Must have worked in production environment, resolving production and release issues by debugging Java code.

Strong knowledge of HTTP status codes, ability to clearly distinguish between errors

Experience in ticket handling and management tools (Jira, ServiceNow ). On call and 24/7 support experience desired.

Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Nagios, other), ability to create alerts and set up dashboards, resolve application issues and perform code debugging. Basic knowledge on forwarders, indexers, aggregators required.

Must have experience working with Linux environments (Red Hat, CentOS) and automated releases Shell scripting (Bash, Python)

Experience with code repository – Git and GitHub

Will be working on Production support, Releases for application and softwares on a day to day basis.

This is a individual working role and co-ordinate with other departments or team members based on need.
