Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Kinship and Permanency Coach for a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening family connections and supporting youth in the foster care system. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity based in Central and Southeast Ohio with regional travel.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Kinship and Permanency Coach provides coaching, guidance, and technical support to Family Specialists and Supervisors across assigned counties. This role is focused on ensuring fidelity to a proven family engagement model while strengthening team effectiveness, collaboration, and problem-solving in complex cases. The Coach also serves as a connector across regions, supporting communication, training, and continuous improvement efforts that drive long-term permanency outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coach Family Specialists and Supervisors on program model implementation, permanency strategies, and best practices
Provide hands-on technical assistance including family search, kinship identification, and genogram development
Facilitate regular case consultations, helping teams navigate barriers and identify sustainable family supports
Strengthen collaboration across counties by fostering communication, shared learning, and consistency in practice
Deliver and develop trainings, presentations, and tools to support staff, partners, and stakeholders
Participate in fieldwork as needed, including home visits, meetings, and court-related activities to support team effectiveness
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field required
Experience in child welfare, foster care, adoption, or related social services environments
Background in coaching, supervision, or supporting frontline staff strongly preferred
Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective relationships across diverse stakeholders
