Senior Software Developer

Location: Houston, TX

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in software development and a strong focus on Azure Architecting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions in cloud environments. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services and architecture, as well as the ability to lead development teams and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high quality software applications using Azure cloud services.

Architect and implement solutions that leverage Azure capabilities, ensuring scalability and performance.

Lead and mentor a team of software developers, providing guidance on best practices and coding standards.

Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to software development methodologies.

Monitor and optimize application performance, reliability, and security in the Azure environment.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Azure and software development.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong expertise in Azure Architecting, including experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, and Azure DevOps.

Proficient in programming languages such as C#,.NET, Java, or Python.

Experience with cloud native application design and microservices architecture.

Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Knowledge of front end technologies such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.

Experience with database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.

Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

10-15 years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud based solutions.

Proven experience in leading software development projects and teams.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
