Job Summary

The Integration Engineer - IV will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise event management and integration solutions. This role focuses on optimizing IBM Netcool/Omnibus platforms, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems, and supporting high-availability environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in event management, system administration, and automation within a complex IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain IBM Netcool/Omnibus infrastructure for enterprise event management

Configure and optimize ObjectServer, probes, triggers, and automation processes

Develop event correlation rules, filters, and enrichment policies to improve alert quality

Monitor system performance and implement tuning strategies for optimal operation

Manage integration with multiple monitoring tools and enterprise systems

Administer Linux environments supporting Netcool/Omnibus components

Support database operations related to Netcool backend systems using Oracle

Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions

Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities

Troubleshoot complex issues across event management and integration systems

Develop integrations using APIs, webhooks, and scripting languages

Automate workflows to enhance event processing and incident management

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard new monitoring sources

Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures

Participate in change management and governance processes

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with IBM Netcool/Omnibus (ObjectServer, Probes, Gateways)

Strong understanding of Netcool architecture including OMNIbus, Impact, WebGUI, and message bus

3+ years of Linux system administration experience

Working knowledge of Oracle databases including SQL and basic administration

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl

Experience with event correlation and alert management techniques

Knowledge of network protocols such as SNMP, Syslog, and REST APIs

Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and monitoring concepts

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and in team environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating monitoring tools such as Dynatrace with Netcool

Experience integrating with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow

Knowledge of observability tools such as Splunk or Control-M

Experience with webhook architectures and REST API integrations

Familiarity with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps

ITIL certification or equivalent knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
