DESCRIPTION
Otterbein University is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Coordinator of Annual Giving Program to support and advance initiatives that drive philanthropic engagement from alumni, parents, students, and friends of the university. This role is responsible for developing and implementing programs that increase unrestricted annual support, with a focus on student engagement, philanthropy education, and marketing and communications.
This position plays a key role in coordinating events, managing communications, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute project plans aligned with the strategic goals of the Division of Institutional Advancement. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Annual Giving and provides on-site support for events and activities, which may include evenings, weekends, and travel. This is a full-time, exempt position working 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Annual Giving Programming and Events
Coordinate programs and events that increase philanthropy and engagement among alumni, parents, students, and friends of Otterbein.
Co-manage the Student Engagement Officer (SEO) Program, including outreach efforts through phone, email, SMS, and video to engage constituents, solicit donations, and thank donors.
Oversee strategy and day-to-day operations of the program, including vendor coordination, inventory, reporting, and data analysis.
Recruit, hire, train, and manage 6-8 Student Engagement Officers.
Co-advise the Alumni and Campus Engagement (ACE) student group to support campus philanthropic initiatives.
Lead the Senior Class Gift initiative in collaboration with student representatives.
Develop and implement philanthropy education sessions for students.
Support annual giving strategies and segmented campaigns to increase donor participation and contributions.
Collaborate with the Advancement team and Office of Events & Conferences to support events such as Homecoming & Family Weekend, reunions, and other signature programs.
Assist with alumni volunteer engagement and communication efforts.Marketing & Communications
Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns to strengthen engagement and philanthropy.
Create segmented content for digital outreach including monthly e-newsletters, email campaigns, fiscal year-end appeals, and text messaging.
Ensure adherence to University brand standards in all communications.
Utilize the division's communication calendar to coordinate outreach efforts.
Create and manage event registration and giving pages using campus software.
Maintain web content in collaboration with the Director.
Support content development for publications including Towers magazine.
Maintain proficiency with the Advancement constituent management database.Miscellaneous Duties
Assist with weekly operations of the Lifelong Learning Community, as needed.
Maintain accurate contact reports, metrics, and constituent data within the database.
Represent the Advancement team at meetings, events, and professional organizations such as ICAA.
Participate in University governance committees and Staff Assembly activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
One year of fundraising experience (student or professional) preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading a team or group preferred.
Experience with GiveCampus is a plus.Core Competencies
