Packaging Machine Operator (AHP)

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator (AHP) for a contract-to-hire position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Columbus, OH. This is a 6-months contract opportunity. This is a temp to hire role.

This role is responsible for performing a variety of packaging activities within a manufacturing environment, including equipment operation, sanitation, preparation of materials, and packing of finished products for shipment. The position requires adherence to all cGMPs, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures to meet quality and production goals.

Responsibilities:

Stage preapproved repackaging material and equipment for production runs

Assist in operating packaging equipment, including minor troubleshooting

Repackage raw materials into finished products according to specifications and quality standards

Assist in production room and equipment cleaning/sanitation

Adhere to all cGMPs, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures

Maintain good housekeeping throughout the shift

Work as a team member to meet or exceed quality and production goals

Partner with supporting areas, such as quality, to report any production or quality issues

Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to read documents, product labels, and instructions

Ability to stand for a minimum of 8-12 hours

Manual dexterity with hands

Ability to lift, handle, or push items weighing on average 25 lbs, up to 35 lbs

Previous experience as an assembler or on a production line is preferred

Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills

Basic mathematical skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain cooperative working relationships

Detail-oriented with the ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions

Pay range: up to $18.00 per hour
