"Registered Nurse to function as our Director of Quality Services. Exciting opportunity to join our not-for-profit, independent healthcare provider located in Dixon, Illinois. Job Description: The Director of Quality Services will be responsible for the overall direction of the house-wide Quality Services/Medical Staff/Pastoral Care/Infection Control and Prevention/Patient Relations/Risk Management/Patient Safety, Safety and HIPAA. The Director of Quality Services shall be knowledgeable about regulatory requirements that pertain to quality and safety, and we will be responsible for attaining compliance with same. Complies with proprietary requests for data and information. Coordinates and facilitates hospital-wide Quality improvement teams. Performs house-wide education and training on quality improvement model and tools in accordance with the corporate quality goals. Serves as a resource person to all members of the healthcare team. Responsible for accomplishing our quality goals according to the strategic plan.

Oversees activities of the Quality Services/Medical Staff/Infection Control and Prevention/Pastoral Care/Patient Relations/Risk Management/acts as the Patient Safety Officer/Safety Officer and the HIPAA Officer. Works closely with personnel at all levels of the our organization to improve patient safety and quality of care. Triages and recommends process improvement techniques for all incident reports and provides a link to risk management and safety. This is an exempt position. The Director of Quality Services reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) required. Three to five years management experience required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 5 year of experience in quality improvement/performance improvement in a health care setting using process improvement

tools and models (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma). Certification in Lean training or Six Sigma desirable. CPHQ certification preferred, or capable of attaining this certification within one year. NAHQ preferred.
