We need someone who can build onboarding flows and backend architecture in the same week. Not a frontend dev. Not a backend architect. Someone who owns the platform — design system to database.
The role
Lead Full Stack Platform Engineer (React · Node.js · AWS · Bootstrap Design System). Remote. Full-time or contract.
What you will own
Bootstrap theme governance — one shared CSS file, no drift, Figma-to-code discipline
React frontend — component libraries, Core Web Vitals, onboarding flows, dashboards
Node.js backend — API architecture, microservices, event-driven systems, WebSockets
Data layer — schema design, ETL pipelines, sub-20ms query performance
Platform reliability — auth, RBAC, monitoring, auto-scaling, security
AI-assisted development — using Cursor, Copilot, and Claude effectively with engineering judgment
What you must bring
5+ years React in production — including design system and component library ownership
5+ years Node.js building scalable APIs and backend systems
TypeScript across both sides — non-negotiable
Bootstrap design system experience — CSS architecture, not just utility classes
Database schema design — you have built schemas AND the UI that consumes them
Production apps shipped with real traffic, monitoring, and tests in place
Nice to have
Vue · Svelte · GraphQL · gRPC · Kafka · CQRS · Kubernetes · PWA · Regulated financial or compliance-heavy platform experience
This is not the role for you if
You have never designed a database schema
You need a separate team to ship a single feature
Your backend experience is Java or Python only — Node.js is required
You treat CSS governance as someone else's problem
