Sr. Java/AWS Developer

Team will work in Aircraft Operation segment which handles the systems required for the aircraft to fly. Applications are currently being integrated into the cloud, using AWS. Top priorities for the ideal candidate: 1) thinking, 2) technology and someone who can hit the ground running, 3) embodies Southwest culture

Looking for Java developers with hands-on AWS Serverless development using the following:

Strong logic, algorithm and analytical skills for problem solving

Java

Lambda

Kinesis streams

Simple Queue Service (SQS)

DynamoDB

Micro services

Domain driven design

Enterprise integration in the cloud (just a little bit)

Experience with a complete cloud project required

Required Skills: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Java Basic Qualification: Must Have: • Strong logic, algorithm and analytical skills for problem solving • Core Java, Java 8 • Java Stream • Spring • Docker • Jenkins • Senior level AWS experience o Experience with EC2, AWS API on Java, CloudFormation templates, DynamoDB o Experience with a complete cloud project.

Smooth interview process- EQP (60 mins coding exercise + technical discussion) and Final Interview with Apex (we are making the hiring decision.)
