Job Title: Staff Data Engineer

Location: 100% REMOTE

Start Date : ASAP

Duration: Contract to Hire

Hourly Rate: 80-90/hr on W2 ONLY

Job Description:

Lead the design, development, and architecture of scalable software and data engineering solutions for the client.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement complex software systems and applications

Translate business requirements into technical specifications

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharing

Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure system stability

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements

Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

10 years of professional software development experience

Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript

Experience with React, Angular, Django, or Flask

Experience with API frameworks such as Spring Boot or Express

Strong SQL and database design/optimization experience

Strong application architecture and design pattern knowledge

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Docker and Kubernetes experience

AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud experience

Infrastructure as Code experience with CloudFormation or Terraform

CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bamboo

Agile or Scrum experience

Nice-to-Haves:

Master's degree
