EH&S Manager - Manufacturing Lead Safety Programs, Drive Compliance & Build a Strong Safety Culture Growth + Stability
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced EH&S Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while driving a strong, proactive safety culture across the facility.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on safety leader with experience in manufacturing operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, employee training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) programs and initiatives across the facility
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental, health, and workplace safety regulations
Develop and implement EH&S policies, procedures, and training programs
Monitor and report safety KPIs, incident trends, and compliance metrics
Conduct safety audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
Promote a strong safety-first culture through coaching, employee engagement, and accountability
Oversee contractor safety programs, compliance standards, and onboarding requirements
Manage workers' compensation cases, injury tracking, and return-to-work processes
Ensure compliance with air quality, water permitting, and environmental reporting requirements
Partner with operations leadership to integrate safety into daily manufacturing activities
Maintain documentation related to certifications, training, inspections, and regulatory compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and operational efficiency
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
3+ years of EH&S experience within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments preferred
Equivalent combination of safety leadership and manufacturing management experience may be considered
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, environmental compliance, and workplace safety practices
Experience leading safety training, audits, investigations, and compliance programs
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence safety culture at all levels
Experience with continuous improvement and risk reduction initiatives highly preferred
Benefits
Base salary ranging from $67,000 - $80,000
Highly qualified and experienced candidates may be considered above the listed range based on overall background and industry expertise
