Heavy Equipment Operator

Heavy Equipment Operator – Residential Excavation We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to lead residential excavation projects from start to finish.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality work, can run equipment safely and efficiently, and is comfortable leading a small crew on active residential job sites.

What You’ll Do Operate mini excavators, skid steers, dozers, and related equipment Lead residential excavation projects including: Basement excavation Drain fields Driveway grading Utility installation Drainage and underground pipework Read site plans, grade stakes, and utility markings Coordinate with project managers, homeowners, inspectors, and subcontractors Supervise and direct small crews on job sites Perform final grading and ensure work meets specifications Maintain safe, clean, and professional job sites Complete daily reports and basic documentation Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs What We’re Looking For Experience operating heavy equipment in residential excavation Leadership ability and willingness to take ownership of projects Ability to read grades, elevations, and construction plans Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Ability to obtain a DOT physical and Chauffeur license 5+ years of equipment operation experience preferred Why Join Us?
