Directs, plans, organizes, coordinates, and reviews the work of subordinate employees involved in conducting extensive research, analysis, investigation and monitoring of the root causes of problem disbursements and obligations.

Manages a preventative program for at risk contracts to include updating complex contract reconciliations with current transactions and working with entitlements to relay payment instructions.

Provides direction and supervision over the receipt, review, and processing of all types of accounting transactions.

Provides technical advice, information and assistance and coordinates unique, high visibility actions with others.

Keeps abreast of changes in policies, regulations, and directives to determine effect on operations. Ensures the proper maintenance of records, reconciliations, adjustments, and corrective actions.

The duties, described below, represent the major duties performed at the GS-09 level. The duties performed for developmental positions will be of limited scope and complexity to develop skills, proficiency, and work experience.
