Summary: Reviews medical record documentation to assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedures as well as present on admission indicators to accurately calculate the MS-DRG and APR-DRG for inpatient encounters. Ensures proper coding, billing, and compliance according to regulatory guidelines as well as organizational policies. Will work closely with the Clinical Documentation Specialist Team.

Education

Tech/Trade Certification

Associates Degree

CCS, RHIT, RHIA Certification strongly preferred

Education specialization: Medical Records Technology

Experience: Three Years minimum – inpatient coding experience in an acute care facility

Additional Information:

Full-time (Tuesday – Saturday)

REMOTE (Dade/Broward/Palm Beach preferred but not required)

Must be a FLORIDA resident
