Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC is seeking a skilled machine assembler to join their team.
Job Description
The machine assembler will be responsible for:
Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions
Assembling sections of machines to customer specifications; attaching units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using various hand and power tools
Performing mechanical assembly operations to exacting tolerances; positioning and aligning parts using fixtures, jigs, and templates; working with rotating shafts, gear trains, mechanical structures, and sprockets
Drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, and spotfacing bolt holes in parts; filing, laping, and buffing parts to fit; cleaning and lubricating parts and subassemblies
Using measuring instruments to level and align work, detect and eliminate run-out, work to close tolerances with a demand for square, concentricity, and parallelism
Assembling electrical or electronic systems or support structures and installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using rivets, bolts, and soldering equipment
Labeling, wiring, and connecting switch boxes and control panel terminal boards from basic wiring diagrams. Checking wiring for proper coding and termination; checking for shorts, grounds, and continuity
Detecting defective material, unusual conditions, or operating difficulties and reporting to supervisor describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actions
Completing necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements
Actively participating in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues
Regularly and effectively communicating and interacting with other team members
Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotely
Performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Maintaining work area and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe manner
Other duties as assigned
Compensation: $25-30 (DOE)
