Job Description
What You’ll Do
• Makes changeovers and operates Tandem Extruder-Coater equipment
• Keeps equipment supplied with paper, film, foil, polymers, primer coatings, and other related extruder raw materials
• Directs activities of crew in operation of equipment and changeovers (SMED)
• Operates equipment at maximum practical speed while maintaining quality standards
• Notifies foreman or supervisor of reasons current running or spoilage standards cannot be maintained
• Makes minor repairs to and lubricates assigned components
• Initiates correction of operational problems
• Ensures crew follows established safety precautions and operates equipment safely
• Assists in training crew members
• Accurately records all necessary information on computerized/manual production reports
• Performs all other required work within range of capabilities
• Makes changeovers independently except in cases involving new products or developments
• Maintains quality standards and production expectations
Operations / Compliance
• Carries out all company safe operating, sanitation, and housekeeping policies
• Strives continuously to improve quality, facilitate production, and minimize waste
• Understands operation and settings of press equipment and ensures equipment and surrounding areas remain clean and in good working order
• Solves routine mechanical press problems and makes fine adjustments as needed

• Associated coating and press equipment
What You Bring
• Must be mechanically inclined, alert, and conscientious
• Must exercise good judgment in solving operational problems
• Must be capable of following directions
• Must maintain strong production and quality standards
• Must have at least 250 hours of coating department equipment operating experience on current equipment

Schedule & Work Environment
• Must be able to work weekends and possible evening and night shifts
• Must be available for call-ins

• Must be able to commute to Baltic, CT
• Relocation required before start
