Job Description
Rock Solid Landscaping is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our growing landscaping company. The bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure smooth business operations.
This role is essential in helping the company maintain financial organization while supporting daily operations for both residential and commercial landscaping projects.
Financial Record Keeping
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
Record all income, expenses, and transactions
Categorize expenses related to labor, materials, equipment, and vehicles
Accounts Payable
Process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments
Verify receipts and expense reports from crews and management
Track material purchases (plants, sod, irrigation supplies, etc.)
Accounts Receivable
Track customer invoices and payments
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past due invoices
Coordinate with office staff to ensure accurate billing
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation
Reconcile bank statements monthly
Reconcile company credit cards and truck expense accounts
Ensure receipts match all company purchases
Payroll Assistance
Assist with payroll preparation and documentation
Track employee hours and overtime records if required
Maintain payroll records for tax and compliance purposes
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial reports including:
Profit & Loss statements
Cash flow reports
Expense summaries
Provide financial data to management for budgeting and decision making
Tax Preparation Support
Organize financial records for CPA or tax preparer
Maintain records for sales tax, payroll tax, and business taxes
Part-time
