Forklift Operator

Job Description

**Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday**

Employment Type: Temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent

Required Attire: Steel-toed shoes are mandatory

This position primarily involves general labor tasks, which may encompass housekeeping duties, equipment operation, forklift usage, and the repeated lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. It is important to note that the work environment may be dusty or dirty, necessitating bending, stooping, and twisting.

Requirements:

- The candidate must be capable of wearing an N95 dust mask.

- The ability to adhere to directions and engage in repetitive production activities is essential.

- All training and instructions will be provided on the job.

- Proficiency is typically achieved in a brief period of employment.

- Steel-toed shoes are a requisite.

Skills:

- The candidate must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

- Basic mathematical skills are required.

- The ability to follow both oral and written instructions, as well as short correspondence and memos, is essential.

- Effective communication skills are necessary for interactions in both one-on-one and group settings.

-This position operates powered industrial trucks, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to pass the associated training test.

Additional Abilities:

- The candidate must be able to remain on their feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

- A strong capacity to follow instructions is required.

Knowledge:

- Knowledge of and compliance with all safety guidelines is expected.

- A basic understanding of mathematics, counting, and computer skills is necessary.

- Candidates may be required to utilize company computer equipment and systems on occasion.

Education:

- A high school diploma or its equivalent
