Mechanical Supervisor

Mechanical Supervisor We are actively seeking a Mechanical Supervisor. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mill processing equipment. The supervisor provides day to day oversight of trades personnel, manages both planned and unplanned maintenance, and ensures all work is completed in compliance with safety standards, maintenance strategies, and production priorities.

This position is based at the Côté Gold Mine Site and operates on a rotational schedule.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate mechanical maintenance resources to support safe, reliable, and efficient mill operations.

Act as a visible and courageous safety leader, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Supervise, mentor, and develop mechanical trades personnel through clear expectations, coaching, and performance feedback.

Plan, coordinate, and execute planned and unplanned maintenance by interpreting drawings, schematics, and maintenance plans in alignment with production priorities.

Promote operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices.

Ensure appropriate staffing, tools, equipment, and training are in place to meet maintenance targets and future site needs.

Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and other supervisors to troubleshoot issues and deliver shift and business objectives.

Maintain accurate shift logs, equipment records, and inspections, and lead investigations and corrective actions as required.

Qualifications

College diploma in industrial mechanic (millwright) or another related field.

Certificate of Qualification in Ontario is preferred.

Completed apprenticeship is required.

7 or more years of experience as a Millwright, Machinist, Welder, Pipefitter, or Mechanical Engineer.

1 or more years of leadership experience.

Previous exposure to lean and multi disciplinary team leadership is desirable, but not essential.

Salary Range: $112,300 – $168,400 + Bonus.
