Supplier Manufacturing Engineer, Generalist - 38255BR

Seeking multiple Supplier Manufacturing Engineers to work with the supply base. Joining this exciting team means you will be supporting our part producers as we ramp production on our Geared Turbo Fan and F135 engine programs. You will be a part of the technology that is shaping the future of aviation today.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Support suppliers various manufacturing processing and methods required to manufacture complex jet engine parts.

•Participate on manufacturing reviews, transitions, new product introduction reviews, and manufacturing standard work improvements

•Review models and preliminary design versus design standards

•Provide manufacturing producibility input to designs and part family process standards

•Provide input for manufacturing release reviews for Class I & 2 Engineering Changes

•Recommend manufacturing cost reductions

•Evaluate in process special handling, part protection, and packaging

•Provide manufacturing process options, propose trade studies, and evaluate manufacturing process maturity

•Review process yields and rates, and make suggestions for improvement

•Compile part family yield history to identify any potential issues or concerns and have plans to address

•Evaluate tooling, special test and inspections concepts and equipment

•Lead manufacturing technical support

•Lead and coordinate activities for corrective action

•Evaluate supplier manufacturing readiness and proactively support and resolve readiness issues

•Perform technical reviews of manufacturing improvement plans

•Provide urgent manufacturing support for critical supply issues and participate on root cause analysis

This position will report directly to the Supplier Mfg. Engineering Manager.

Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field is required.

2. Must have a strong manufacturing engineering background

3. Shop operations experience

4. A minimum of 4-6 + years of experience

5. Strong process and writing process experience

6. Preferred proficiency in at least one of the following manufacturing disciplines: Airfoil, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machining and Composite

8. Salary Expectation? (Salary range: $90k to $130k)
