Directory And Endpoint Consultant
The Directory and Endpoint Consultant provides architectural leadership for Active Directory, Entra ID, Configuration Manager, and Intune across a multi-OS, multi-domain environment. The role is part of the university's transition to One Active Directory, including planning and executing partner migrations and supporting coexistence with legacy environments. It drives automation, documentation, and modernization efforts—especially hybrid Azure AD client adoption—while serving as a subject matter expert across departments. Primary duty is to the One Active Directory project, with additional limited duties to include escalation support, on-call coverage, and participation in projects and university security processes.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in Information Technology.
Minimum 6 years of experience designing and implementing Active Directory & Azure/Entra ID and advanced management of Microsoft Configuration Manager in a co-managed environment with Intune in an enterprise environment.
Access control and privilege account management fundamentals.
Familiarity with Windows (10+ and Server 2012R2+), Microsoft Office, Advanced PowerShell scripting, Domain Name System, Active Directory Federation Services, Certificate services.
Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills and experience. Excellent customer service and customer-facing skills.
Solid communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people with varying backgrounds and levels of knowledge.
Desired Education and Experience:
8-12 years of related experience.
Expert level Microsoft Configuration Manager and knowledge of Intune, multi factor concepts, firewall, server administration, privileged access management, user life cycle management; computer experience using Microsoft Office and Visio or a similar suite of applications.
Passion for continually learning and working with new technology.
