Web Developer

Pay Grade: U120

FLSA Status: Exempt

Pay Range: $70,743 - $117,426

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for building and managing web-based division resources and various web-based applications. Other responsibilities include collaborating with the other team members such as our Enterprise Systems Team, Network and Infrastructure Team and also the Communications Department. The mission will be focused on refining existing systems and identifying new opportunities where solutions are needed in order to enhance the users experience by creating web-based solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Analyze user requirements and define project objectives

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Establish timelines for projects

Design, Develop and Deploy applications as needed

Establish coding standards and maintain code repositories

Design UI/UX (User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) and conduct UAT (User acceptance testing) as part of the development process

Work to ensure a high-quality user experience

Manage and update the documentation to support users

Stay committed and current on latest web development practices MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Proven 3-4 years of experience working as a Web Developer, Web Programmer or a similar role KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Familiarity with common markup and scripting languages like HTML, HTML 5, CSS 3, XML and Javascript.

Familiarity with modern programming languages like PHP, Python, Ruby, Java

Exceptional working knowledge of various website development techniques.

Strong understanding of software architecture and software development fundamentals.

Understanding of SQL (Structured Query Language) and noSQL architectures

Exceptional understanding of UI (User Interface) Prototyping tools.

Great interpersonal skills.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks.

Outstanding problem-solving skills and detail-oriented

Exceptional time management abilities. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.

This is complex technical work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
