Senior Electrical Engineer

Rinvio is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for advanced electrical engineering work in the Long Beach, California area. This role is a strong fit for an experienced engineer with battery energy storage, microgrid, distributed energy resource, power systems, panel design, and project engineering experience.

Pay: $115,000-$200,000/year based on experience

Location: Long Beach, CA

Travel: Approximately 25% travel may be required

Type: Contract / project-based

Responsibilities:

- Lead and support electrical engineering work for energy storage, microgrid, distributed energy, and power system projects

- Develop and review electrical designs, drawings, calculations, single-line diagrams, panel layouts, and technical documentation

- Support equipment selection, system integration, controls coordination, construction support, commissioning, and field issue resolution

- Apply NEC and relevant electrical standards to ensure safe, compliant, and practical designs

- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, project stakeholders, and field personnel to keep engineering deliverables moving

- Review technical submittals, resolve design questions, and support project execution from design through implementation

Requirements:

- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience preferred

- Experience with BESS, microgrids, DER integrations, power distribution, controls, or related electrical infrastructure

- Strong understanding of NEC, electrical drawings, panel design, system integration, and field support

- Ability to manage technical details, communicate clearly, and support multiple project priorities

- Professional Engineer license is preferred but not required

- Willingness to travel approximately 25% as project needs require
