Manufacturing Ops Manager
The Manufacturing Operations Manager directs the manufacture of prescription eyewear in a high volume, mixed model environment. Leads supervisors and production teams to successfully achieve daily performance goals and objectives established by facility leaders. Maintains a safe working environment and promotes a culture of associate engagement that provides opportunities for growth and advancement.
Major duties and responsibilities include determining staffing requirements, hiring and training new staff, supervising direct reporting staff, setting employee goals and objectives, developing staff to maximize potential, evaluating current business processes and systems, planning and implementing procedures and systems to continuously improve operations, establishing and maintaining controls, formulating department/unit policies and practices, coordinating financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency, facilitating the preparation and analysis of reports, and being responsible for the achievement of department/division/unit productivity and quality goals. Organizes and manages business meetings.
Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 6+ years of experience in a related field, knowledge of business and management principles and practices, knowledge of strategic planning, knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures, knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices, knowledge of office administrative procedures, proficiency in relevant software applications, good oral and written communication skills, good judgment and decision making skills, good planning and organizational skills, problem analysis and problem solving skills.
