Job Description Faculty Position - Outpatient Pediatric Urology On behalf of the Division Chief of Urology, our organization is conducting a nationwide search to find a skilled fellowship-trained pediatric urologist to enhance our clinical and educational initiatives in Westport, CT, located 54 miles north of Manhattan.Opportunity Highlights: Our organization is the only independent children's hospital in Connecticut.
The clinic in Fairfield County is vital to the growth strategy of our pediatric urology services and will serve as a cornerstone program, impacting approximately 1.5 million pediatric patients.
The new urologists will operate in an outpatient setting within our state-of-the-art multi-specialty clinic in Westport, CT.
This facility includes modern office space for various specialties, procedure rooms, and an ambulatory surgical center located just minutes away.
The incoming provider will engage in divisional educational programs and will receive robust support from faculty outreach and dedicated ancillary staff, including nurses and medical assistants.
Opportunities for involvement in clinical research will also be available.
The compensation package will feature a guaranteed base salary starting at $525,000, along with an RVU productivity incentive, a sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.
The chosen physician will collaborate closely with the division chief to enhance our established presence in the area and will be expected to excel in developing the Westport practice as the first full-time pediatric urology physician in southern Connecticut.
This role will primarily focus on outpatient care in Fairfield County, with no on-call duties at our Hartford facility.
The selected urologist will benefit from full-time nursing support in the clinic, along with a full-time advanced practice provider, already budgeted by the division.
The incoming provider will be responsible for fostering relationships and referrals in Fairfield County while acting as a brand ambassador for our organization in one of the region's fastest-growing areas.
After one year of service in Westport, a medical directorship appointment may be considered.
Block time will be available at two regional surgery centers located in Stamford and Norwalk.
The physician will have the support of a full-time advanced practice provider dedicated to the Westport clinic.Candidate Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of experience post-fellowship is required.
Current board certification from the American Board of Urology is necessary.
Must be comfortable working autonomously in a multi-disciplinary clinic alongside other pediatric specialists.
