Job Description Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated and empathetic Hepatologist to enhance our flourishing Gastroenterology practice at the Thayer Center for Health located in Waterville, Maine.

This position is exclusively outpatient and offers the chance to collaborate with a vibrant GI team comprising 5 gastroenterologists and 10 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Committed to delivering outstanding care to patients across the lively Kennebec Valley area, this role is perfect for those who value a fulfilling practice alongside a favorable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:Deliver specialized outpatient consultations, diagnoses, management, and treatment for liver-related conditions such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, fatty liver disease, and liver failure.Work in close partnership with our established team of gastroenterologists and APPs to provide comprehensive and integrated patient care.Analyze diagnostic imaging and laboratory results relevant to hepatology.Inform patients and their families about disease management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive health measures concerning liver health.

Practice Highlights:No on-call duties: Enjoy weekends and holidays off; this is strictly an outpatient role.Consistent schedule: 36 hours dedicated to patient care each week, with an additional 4 hours allocated for administrative tasks.A collaborative and supportive team atmosphere with experienced gastroenterology professionals and APPs.
