HR Generalist Temporary Assignment
Canyon Creek Behavioral Health (a Universal Health Services facility) is a facility serving the behavioral health needs of adolescents and adults in Temple, Texas and all surrounding areas of Central Texas. Our behavioral health center provides treatment options for individuals struggling with psychiatric health, chemical dependency and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs.
The Human Resources Generalist primary responsibility will oversee our full-cycle recruiting. The HR Generalist responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures and hosting or participating in career events. To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires. In addition, the Human Resources Generalist will have additional responsibilities. Responsibilities include: conducting New Hire Orientation sessions, preparing new hire/general employee training packets and maintaining them in good supply, back-up to processing personnel actions in HRIS system, maintaining all personnel records and files, maintaining clinical licensed and training documentation, assisting in organizing all employee activities and in-services, knowledge of state and federal employment laws, ability to interpret policies, and other duties as assigned.
Note: This is a non-benefits eligible position.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in a health care setting.
Licensure/Certification: HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional certification (SHRM-CP) highly preferred.
Additional Requirements: Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs), such as iCIMS Excellent verbal and written communication skills A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations
