Procurement Manager

Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, purchasing and supplier management functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational and business objectives.

Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with local and international suppliers.

Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, machinery, spare parts, and general operational requirements.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Evaluate supplier performance and ensure quality, pricing, and delivery standards are met.

Prepare procurement plans, budgets, reports, and cost analyses.

Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement efficiencies.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Work closely with finance, production, and logistics departments to support operational continuity.

Key Skills:

Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills

Experience sourcing raw materials and technical equipment within industrial or manufacturing operations

Good understanding of inventory management and procurement systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications:

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Management, Logistics or a related field.

Professional procurement qualification such as CIPS is an added advantage.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
