Position Summary
ISI is seeking three (3) full-time onsite Construction Managers to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at the Lake City VA Medical Center for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades.
The Construction Managers will provide construction-phase oversight support for EHRM-related infrastructure projects at Lake City VAMC. Personnel shall provide full-time onsite coverage aligned with contractor operations and VA facility requirements
Key Responsibilities
Provide construction-phase oversight support
Conduct daily onsite construction inspections
Track and monitor submittals and RFIs
Review submittals and provide written recommendations
Review RFIs and provide technical input prior to COR deadlines
Monitor construction schedule and progress
Review and validate contractor pay applications
Document deficiencies and track corrective actions
Monitor long-lead procurement items
Support development of FORCE packages
Maintain project tracking reports
Participate in bi-weekly and other project meetings
Coordinate with VA COR and Healthcare Engineer
Prepare and submit daily and weekly inspection documentation
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, Business, or related field and minimum three (3) years of field construction experience performing Construction Management or Quality Assurance functions
OR
Minimum seven (7) years of field construction experience performing Construction Management or Quality Assurance functions in lieu of degree
Experience Requirements
Experience monitoring construction for Quality Assurance
Experience reviewing submittals and RFIs
Experience reviewing contractor pay applications and validating percent complete
Experience supporting phased construction in occupied facilities
Experience tracking baseline schedules and identifying delays
Experience documenting deficiencies and enforcing corrective actions
Ability to provide three (3) relevant project examples of similar scope and complexity
Preferred Experience
Federal construction experience (VA strongly preferred)
Healthcare construction experience
Experience supporting IT / telecommunications / infrastructure upgrades
Familiarity with building codes and permitting requirements
VA HVAC/Electrical/IT Infrastructure upgrade projects preferred
VA Hospital design/construction experience preferred
Experience with Florida construction and codes preferred.
VA Design Guides/Manuals, Specifications, and other applicable standards preferred

US Citizenship
Ability to work full-time onsite in Lake City, FL
Must provide own PPE
Ability to work independently in an active medical facility
Work Schedule
Full-time onsite at Lake City VA Medical Center.
Approximately 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, aligned with VA operating hours. Available to work after hours.
Work performed in an active healthcare construction environment.

Must be able to climb, erect and maintain balance on a 30-40 pound ladder.

Must be able to stand for extended periods
Must be willing to work in external environments of rain, high heat and significant cold.
Must be able navigate active construction sites containing uneven ground, debris, and active construction hazards such as sharp objects, electrical hazards, and potential fall hazards.
Must be able to occasionally go into confined spaces and crawl
