Welder
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay: minimum $20-$25 an hour (Dependent on Experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
Job Summary
The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality TIG and MIG welding on a variety of metals, with a particular emphasis on stainless steel and aluminum. This role requires proven expertise, precision, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their skills through a weld and print test at the time of the interview.
Responsibilities
Perform TIG and MIG welding with proven proficiency on stainless steel (down to 20 ga., average 14-16 ga.) and aluminum.
Work with modular fixturing (minimum of 1 year experience required).
Read and interpret drawings and weld symbols with accuracy.
Perform grinding, polishing, stud welding, and spot welding as required.
Maintain a high standard of quality, following ISO procedures and company standards.
Demonstrate independence while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
Meet physical requirements, including standing, sitting, reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 75 lbs., pushing, pulling, and fine tactical skills.
Assist with other duties as assigned, based on business needs. Qualifications
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a relatable industry with TIG and MIG welding.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Formal welding school training is required.
Technical Skills:
Ability to successfully pass a weld test, print test, and interview.
Must supply own welding helmet, gloves, and tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, squat, reach, pull, and push throughout the shift.
Reliable attendance and ability to meet physical demands of the position.
