Kdc/one is currently seeking a strategic and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead our purchasing team and oversee supplier relationships. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are available to meet production demands, enabling the organization to deliver on customer commitments and achieve financial objectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to managing a dynamic supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee procurement of raw materials, components, and packaging in alignment with customer requirements, S&OP plans, and forecast projections
Monitor supplier performance and material flow, proactively communicating risks and updates to key stakeholders
Optimize inventory levels and improve turnover while maintaining service and financial targets
Collaborate with warehouse and scheduling teams to reduce excess and obsolete inventory
Establish and maintain appropriate safety stock levels to support operational continuity
Evaluate supplier performance, ensure quality standards, and negotiate favorable terms
Track and improve supplier On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) performance
Analyze key metrics to drive improvements in lead times, cost efficiency, and delivery reliability
Identify supply risks and partner with Global Sourcing to develop alternative solutions
Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers; set expectations and provide ongoing performance feedback
Monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and documentation in accordance with company policies Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of procurement or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment
Industry experience in cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, or contract manufacturing preferred
Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience
APICS or ISM certification preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Power BI
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Effective leadership and team development skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Demonstrated negotiation and supplier management experience
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions
Experience participating in S&OP and RCCP processes Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Office-based role within a climate-controlled environment
Regular computer use with occasional time on the production floor (PPE required)
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Supervisory Responsibility
