Salary: $45.35 for Route Rates; $20.03 for Activity Rates

Position Summary:

As a School Bus Driver for Greene County CSD, you will play a vital role in ensuring students are transported safely to and from school and school-related activities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are dependable, enjoy working with children, and are committed to student safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a school bus along designated routes

Pick up and drop off students at scheduled stops

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus

Maintain discipline and ensure safety rules are followed on the bus

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Follow all district policies and state regulations regarding school transportation

Report any concerns or incidents to the Transportation Director Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Valid Iowa Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements - or willingness to obtain with district support

Clear driving record and background check

Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening

Good communication skills and a calm, student-centered demeanor

Dependable and punctual Schedule:

Typical routes include morning and afternoon shifts during the school year

Opportunities for additional driving (field trips, activities, etc.) available
