About the Job
As a Software Engineer on the DevSecOps Platform Engineering team, you will design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native platforms that enable secure, reliable, and efficient application delivery across a large, regulated technology environment. You will work hands-on with Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms, GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
In this role, you will consult on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives, contribute to DevOps transformation efforts, and collaborate strategically with engineering, security, and platform teams to enable self-service, resilient deployment platforms.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP) to support large-scale microservices deployments.
Lead DevOps and platform engineering initiatives, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps-based delivery models.
Design and enable end-to-end CI/CD workflows integrating infrastructure automation with GitHub Actions and GitOps pipelines.
Automate application and microservices deployments using Harness, achieving fully automated, repeatable, and auditable release processes.
Implement declarative configuration management and JSON/YAML-based pipelines to ensure consistency across environments.
Enable secure cloud platform delivery across Azure and GCP, aligning infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and security controls through code.
Embed DevSecOps practices, observability, and pipeline instrumentation to improve visibility, governance, and MTTR.
Develop automation and tooling using Python to support CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment workflows.
Establish centralized version tracking, release visibility, and deployment governance across cloud and on-prem environments.
Collaborate closely with developers and platform teams to build self-service capabilities and improve developer experience.
Consult on complex, long-term software engineering challenges, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and regulatory controls. Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions.
Experience building Java applications using Maven and/or Gradle.
Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP) in production environments.
Experience implementing GitOps-based deployment models.
Proficiency in Python for automation and CI/CD integration.
Experience working in large-scale, regulated enterprises with strong governance and audit requirements.
Ability to collaborate across teams and consult on complex technical initiatives. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with deployment automation tools such as Harness.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation.
Exposure to AI or agentic automation frameworks.
Kubernetes and/or DevOps certifications.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Additional Information
This is a net-new position created due to increased workload.
The team supports DevSecOps automation for the full COO technology portfolio and will initially focus on CI/CD, deployment orchestration, and quality gates for selected applications.
Candidates should be able to align with local team onsite schedules.
