Fiber/Cable Technician

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Fiber/Cable Technician to join our growing team supporting projects across New Hampshire and Vermont. This is an ideal opportunity for technicians with telecommunications or cable experience who are ready to transition into fiber installations.

Your responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

Perform fiber optic installation, FTTH (Fiber to the Home), and broadband service installations in residential environments

Install and route fiber drop cables, including aerial and underground applications

Mount, splice (if applicable), and configure ONT (Optical Network Terminal), routers, and Wi-Fi equipment

Conduct fiber testing, signal verification, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance

Complete service calls, trouble tickets, and repair work for fiber internet services

Follow telecom industry standards, safety protocols, and quality control guidelines

Use hand tools and specialized equipment for fiber installation and cable routing

Accurately complete and close out work orders, job documentation, and reporting systems

Provide customer service, including explaining installed services and equipment usage

Compensation:

Performance-based pay (per completed job)

Estimated earnings: $1,800 – $2,200 per week

Requirements:

Previous telecom or cable (coax) experience

Fiber experience is a plus, but not required (training provided)

Your own White VAN or pickup truck.

Ability to carry heavy objects (such as a 28 ft ladder).

Active driver’s license.

Valid Social Security Number.

iPhone/iPad for using the app to receive orders.

Conversational English (other languages are welcome but not required).

Ability to pass a drug test.

Ability to pass a background check.

Vehicle Requirements:

Must own a full-size SUV, van, minivan, or pickup truck

Vehicle must be WHITE COLOR ONLY!
