Hospital Access Representative

Position Highlights

Department: Hospital Access Dept Shoreline - Westbrook, CT

Hours: 28.00 per week

Shift: Shift 1

Work Schedule:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 6:30am-3pm and Saturday 7:30am-4pm

Week 2: Sunday 7:30a-4p Monday and Thursday 6:30a-3pm

Position Summary:

Responsible for various patient-related access duties, which include registering and processing patients to ensure Department and Hospital access and financial goals are achieved.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Proficient typing/keyboard skills

Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced customer service environment

Excellent communication skills (telephone, written, and interpersonal)

Flexibility of hours nis ecessary to ensure department scheduling is met

Professional appearance

One year of experience in a hospital or medical office, including insurance and medical terminology
