.Net Application Architect:


This position provides .NET Application Architect for Flex connected Intelligence platform. The focus is for development of .net backend services that is built on Microsoft cloud platform. This role requires extensive experience in architecting and deploying web-based and web-enabled business applications, and must possess hands-on experience in coding, deploying distributed architectures and platforms, creating benchmark tests, designing for scalability and performance, and implementing large-scale vendor systems.

Principle Accountabilities / Duties:

Ensure proper SDLC is followed for all application development/integration projects.

Assists developers/engineers with their approach and design of software applications and systems, including reviewing design and development work performed.

Deep knowledge of the Microsoft development platform (Azure,, .Net).

Deep database knowledge.

Experience leading and working with global teams and organizations.

Modern Application Design Components (Dependency Injection, Logging, APM, Automation, Application Design Patterns, Unit Testing).

Leading technical design sessions with the development teams, including the creation of class models, sequence diagrams, component models, etc., and detailed design specifications to ensuring that architecture standards are followed.

Applied research and development, prototyping, and vendor evaluations

Creating project and application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices.

Providing support / guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes.

Educational Requirements

BS/MS in Software Engineering/Computer Sciences

Must have knowledge of development best practices (standard naming conventions and architecture) as well as experience with enterprise systems.

Must be skilled with web development, relational databases, cloud platforms, and software development life-cycles.

Required (Must Have) Qualifications

Requires strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with team members is a must.

7+ years of hands on experience building large scale web applications.

Experience with Microsoft Azure.

Expert level knowledge of .NET Framework, CLR, and C#.

Relational database knowledge – database design, the intricacies of SQL, query tuning, index optimization, and database design (normalization required, dimensional modeling a plus).

Strong proficiency in delivering software – unit testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery.

Strong proficiency in software design – SoA, Dependency Injection, and Design Patterns generally, API design (both RESTful and RPC).

Strong knowledge and understanding of .NET Framework development techniques

Working knowledge of web-based technologies; HTTP, AJAX, HTML5, ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript/jQuery and CSS3

Microsoft .Net (C#), WCF and complementary business layer and front-end technologies.

Proficiency in the protocols and network that underpin the web: HTTP, DNS, IP, Load balancing.

Agile project experience.

Clear understanding of event-driven and delegate-based design paradigms.

Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), its principles, and patterns at enterprise level.

Create technical specifications and test plans

Ability to work alone or in a team environment.

Experience with automated test tools and debugging systems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing appropriate documentation, and interacting with other engineering disciplines.

Results oriented work ethic and the ability to work effectively and respectfully in a project team.

Strong ability to communicate deep analytical results in forms that resonate with scientific and/or business collaborators, highlighting actionable insights.
