Description:

The Mount Baker Rowing Program is recruiting for a dynamic and engaging Varsity Girls Head Coach for the Fall 2016 through Spring 2017 season. This coach will work directly with the Varsity Girls Assistant coach to plan and implement training and practice plans, and prepare teams for competition.

Candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills. At least 5 years of experience in competitive rowing, junior coaching experience is highly preferred. Coaches need to be US Rowing Level 2 certified within six months of hire. Boaters Education certification must be obtained prior to start of season. Candidates must be able to pass a 10 minute float test prior to date of hire. Trailer driving and rigging experience are preferred, but not necessary.

Candidates must be able to commit to a full academic season (September through May).

Location: Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center, 3800 Lake Washington Boulevard South, Seattle WA 98118

Schedule: Monday - Friday afternoons and weekend competitions

Start Date: Early September

End Date: On-going; to be determined

Pay Range: $18-$21 hourly DOE

Requirements:

•Over 18 years of age

•Rowing experience and certification in a related field

•Must have excellent communication and organizational skills

•At least 5 years of experience in competitive rowing or junior coaching experience is highly preferred

•Must have First Aid/CPR certification prior to starting

•Must have valid WA state driver's license and successfully clear a driving history/record check upon hire

•Must pass criminal background check

•Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid government issued ID

•Must sign up for direct deposit with either checking or savings account or Payroll Paycard
