JOB DESCRIPTION
MEDICAID ACCURACY ASSISTANT / DATA ENTRY
JOB SUMMARY:
This full-time position is responsible for entering data into Therap and reviewing Medicaid billing services. The individual will review all Medicaid billable services (weekly and bi-weekly) and enter all non-waiver individual services on a weekly basis.
The review process includes ensuring documentation is person-centered and contains sufficient information to meet Medicaid billing standards. Confidentiality of all individual information must be maintained at all times.
Non-Exempt Position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure all documentation meets Medicaid regulations and is billable on a daily basis
Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot communication with the identified transit/transport system
Ensure Medicaid billing accuracy for all waiver and non-waiver individuals through Therap on a weekly basis
Conduct and track monthly drills for the center
Send written and Brightwell communications to staff and families
Produce weekly and monthly reports identifying billable and non-billable services
Conduct monthly inventory counts for SMS supplies and report low stock to Compliance
Provide explanations for services that are not billed
Schedule and maintain CAI services, including written schedules and ensuring documentation is complete and billable
Transport individuals using an agency van as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Strong computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office Suite)
Strong math skills
Knowledge of Medicaid billing
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with electronic database systems
Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., calculators, fax machines)
Professional demeanor and ability to work well with others
OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Maintain and troubleshoot communication with transit/transport systems
Ensure completion of monthly drills
Monitor inventory and report supply needs
Communicate effectively with staff and families
Provide transportation as needed
Support CAI service scheduling and documentation compliance
Assist with direct support duties when needed, including care, outings, and documentation
The individual must demonstrate a caring and patient attitude and maintain a working knowledge of The Arc of Southwest Georgia’s mission, vision, programs, and services, as well as its accreditation standards.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an office environment designed to support efficiency and productivity. Travel is minimal and limited to training or staff development.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Center Program Manager
No supervisory responsibilities
