Job Summary – Design, develops and installs web applications and/or modules according to specifications; debugs according to issue logs; demonstrate technology-specific expertise; observes coding and documentation conventions.

Key Responsibility:

*Codes the software application requirements

*Observes company coding and site-mapping conventions and best-practice standards

*Practices code reusability and optimization

*Performs unit testing

*Implements changes in database design

*Assists the Senior Web Developer in the capacity planning of system and applications to be developed

*Collaborates with the Web Graphics Designer on matters of functional aesthetics


*At least a graduate of any one of the following degree programs: (1) B.Sc. Information Technology, (2) B.Sc. Computer Science, (3) B.Sc. Information Systems, or any equivalent software engineering degree

*At least 2 years of software development practice prior to job application

*CORE KNOWLEDGE: Objected-oriented programming, object-relational database design

*CORE COMPETECIES (strong working knowledge required): JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySQL, jQuery

*SUPPORT KNOWLEDGE: User Interface (UI) design, application programming interfaces (API), payment gateways, content management systems

*SUPPORT/SECONDARY COMPETENCIES: Linux, Ajax, WordPress (or Drupal, or any content management system), PayPal (or any payment gateway), any other web programming language (Java server pages, PHP, or C#)

*Strong problem-solving, abstraction (high-and low-level), logic and creative skills

*Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Other Preferred Qualifications:

*Possession of a local or international certification (TESDA, Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
