Safety Lead - Data Center

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety Lead to support safety operations on hyperscale data center construction projects. This individual will play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with all OSHA and site-specific requirements.
This role is best suited for a self-sufficient safety professional who can operate independently in a fast-paced construction environment and provide leadership without requiring direct oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and enforce site safety protocols on active data center construction projects
Conduct daily site walks, safety audits, and hazard assessments
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, including fall protection and job site safety requirements
Complete and maintain all required site safety documentation, reports, and logs
Lead or support toolbox talks, safety briefings, and incident investigations
Identify and proactively address potential safety risks and unsafe behaviors
Serve as the on-site safety point of contact for contractors and project teams
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to client and company policies Qualifications
OSHA 510 certification (required)
5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in data center or large-scale commercial environments
Prior experience in a lead or supervisory safety role strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of fall protection standards and implementation
Experience completing site safety forms, reports, and compliance documentation
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple trades and stakeholders
Additional safety certifications are highly preferred
(CHST is a plus) Preferred Experience
Experience working on hyperscale data center projects (AWS, Google, Meta, etc.)
Familiarity with high-paced construction environments and multiple subcontractors
Proven ability to lead safety initiatives without direct supervision
