Communicate and demonstrate the company culture and values and fosters positive employee relations.

Responsible for managing all aspects of an aging, drying and packaging facility, with approximately 200 employees.

Maximize the profitability of the plant through efficient use of materials, productive use of available labor and control of overhead costs.

Ensure the aging, drying and packaging of safe, quality products while maintaining a safe and motivated workforce.

Promote and drive Food Safety initiatives at plant level working with corporate Operations and

Quality Assurance teams.

Provide leadership, direction, guidance and support to management team and plant personnel. Coach, develop and mentor members of the management team and ensure they do the same for plant personnel. Develop positive and effective communication with all employees.

Maintain a positive employee environment through consistent/fair practices and leadership in areas such as employee training, development, safety, and quality.

Establish, strive for and achieve challenging and attainable targets in the areas of: material conversion cost; packaging material usage; packaging material loss; packaging and supervisory labor costs; and fixed and variable overhead cost.

Trouble-shoot and lead problem-solving efforts through the facilitation of team meetings and on-the-floor leadership to effectively change systems and procedures through the process of continuous improvement.

Develop plant's annual budget. Monitor and control plant costs in comparison to budgetary objectives.

Lead, facilitate and support the plant's safety process to ensure a behavioral-based safe, hazard-free working environment for all employees.

Maintain, adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures in the areas of Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Quality Control.

Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with service, sales and support groups through timely communication of issues and opportunities.

Oversee all regulatory inspections to ensure positive relations with state and federal inspection personnel.

Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.

Five (5) or more years of management experience in food manufacturing/processing in the dairy/cheese industry.

Experience in successfully leading, coaching, mentoring and developing a team in a "hands on" environment.

Above average understanding of costs relating to dairy manufacturing and packaging. Budgetary experience a must.

Must possess a solid dairy and cheese making background and willingness to learn and understand the peculiarities of natural cheese manufacturing, performance and packaging criteria.

Strong employee safety, food safety, customer and quality focus.

Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, and work well under pressure.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Maestro, etc.
