Paraprofessional

We are looking for a paraprofessional for a variety of positions between pre k and 8th grade.

You would be helping the Classroom teacher, supporting students, provide support through a special education plan (may include physcal support, support with transportation, and behavior support) and being an active learning community member.

To assist students with academic or emotional needs and support teachers in educating assigned students.

Personal Qualifications: Ability to work with students identified through special education or the 504 processes in a classroom setting and often in a one-on-one setting.

Communicates effectively with all staff, students, and parents.

Ability to work independently and have good organizational skills.

Flexible in performing multiple tasks and follows through on tasks assigned.

Willingness to participate in paraprofessional training.

Understanding of learning and emotional disabilities and willingness to learn and understand the needs of students with these disabilities.
