Business Segment Overview
Commercial: With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.
Position Purpose: To work with the existing fats & oils merchandising team to increase income through expanding merchandising activities, expanding trade relationships, adding new clients, and expanding margins through value added services and deeper participation in supply chains.
Responsibilities
Primary duties will include:
Execute and manage the purchase and sale of commodities and related logistics in support of the Fats & Oils business line, within the operational and risk requirements of StoneX Supply & Trading.
Assist in the managing of day to day operations of the Fats & Oils team, including coordination of front office activities, business development, acquisitions and strategy development.
Develop strategies to grow the Fats & Oils merchandising business with an primary focus on corn oil.
Identify strategic opportunities, including but not limited to, off-take agreements, asset optimization, procurement agreements.
Assist the StoneX Supply & Trading’s Feed Ingredient trading team with supply and offtake of DDGs where available and appropriate.
Analyzes individual client operations to determine market exposure, price sensitivity and financial risks.
Assist in collection of valuation data and supporting documentation for commodity inventory and forward contracts
Assist in the monitoring and managing of daily operations of the fats & oils portfolio, including risk limits, delivery schedules, trade documentation and trade settlement.
Communicates with necessary departments within the company such as operations, credit, and compliance, and risk.
Conducts meetings with personnel to discuss markets, clients, services, industry and other pertinent information.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 7 years in commodity merchandising or related businesses
Ability to exercise good judgment in assessing opportunities and risk
Self-starter and entrepreneurial
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
Travel as needed
Hiring Salary Range $125,000 - $150,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
