Job Description

Contractor applicants must have the following skills:

Experience with Scala (or Java + another functional language)

Experience with Spark

Experience using Git!

Experience in UNIX or UNIX-like systems

Excellent written and verbal communication

Experience with sqoop, nifi, and oozie.

Candidates without this must have significant expertise in the previous requirements to make up for a lack of experience with these technologies

Contractor applicants will be given preference for having the following skills:

Contributions to open-source big data projects (please provide link to repos)

API development and management experience

Experience with Python

Experience with HBASE or other comparable noSQL big data technology

Professional SCRUM or other similar framework experience
