Network Testers with CCIP or/and CCNA certification

Job Responsibilities:

Engineering design and support Business Services commercial services across the national footprint.

Demonstrate leadership in the development and planning for the roll-out of future hardware and software supporting the core network underlay.

Lead initiatives to automate internal processes and drive Telemetry capabilities to improve change execution and harden real-time service performance.

Design, develop, and deploy large scale service provider network infrastructure and lead strategic thinking for the development and of:

Lifecycle Engineering Roadmap for Commercial routing infrastructure

Order to market fulfillment, efficient overlay service delivery, performance management, service assurance (SLA/SLO), with fault tolerant systems.

MPLS/LDP/RSVP/L2VPN/L3VPN/OAM Protocol Testing

Develop and/or improve best practices and procedures for network installation, maintenance and operation.

Lead the Network Engineering Plan of Record including business requirements, network strategy, project priority, and financial budget plan.

Create and document all high-level and detailed network designs.

Model network capacity for failure scenarios to proactively predict routing and topology changes.

Monitor network capacity, plan and implement market augments as necessary.

Exercise sound judgment during site design, network configuration, and network activation to ensure efficient use of funds and time.

Lead technical projects across Product Engineering, business units and software development teams.

Provide On-Call support, as necessary, focused on isolating and resolving network outages.

Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and provide guidance to architecture with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior-level Network Engineers.

Communicate applicable design guidelines and provide guidance to team to ensure compliance to network design standards.

Skills/Experience:

Network Design and Architecture experience. Hands-on IP router/switch/customer premises equipment experience.

Experience in Metro Ethernet and Commercial business networking.

Aptitude and experience with programming the network versus configuring networks.

Strong understanding of the high-level design criteria for managing large data/voice service provider networks in a decentralized environment

CCIE/JNCIE certified or equivalent on-the-job experience

Industry experience designing and configuring ethernet networks for large scale customers.

Expert understanding ISIS, MPLS, Multicast and BGP) and MEF technical specifications

Specific knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routers, especially ASR, MX, Company series is preferred. Broad knowledge of Cisco and Juniper configurations.

Expert understanding of IPv4, IPv6, Multicast and QOS

Advanced knowledge of metro-ethernet related protocols, i.e. MPLS/LDP/RSVP/L2VPN/L3VPN/OAM
