Compensation
Salary Range: $29.09 - $40.50 per hour
The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Responsibilities
The Sterile Processing Coordinator maintains appropriate levels of sterile supplies, equipment and instruments to ensure to efficient flow of daily surgical schedules. Teaches and monitors Quality Assurance protocols and assist in ensuring regulatory compliance. Assists the manager in daily operations of the department.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Sterile Processing Certification
Five (5) years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care facility
Preferred:
Previous training or supervisory experience
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Inventories and reorders instruments and supplies.
Performs all required quality assurance tests on equipment and maintains daily records and reports.
Ensures all items are processed with the highest quality standards.
Collaborates with department managers to plan for upcoming requirements.
Utilizes resources to assess and anticipate department needs.
Responsible for ongoing education as it relates to daily operations, including assessment of instrumentation skills, training technicians on proper decontaminations, sterilization and case cart assembly.
Trains employees and maintains department specific competencies.
Serves as a resource person in developing competencies for the department.
Responsible for orientation of new employees.
Serves as a mentor in the department.
Assists in implementing and maintaining infection control needs.
Collaborates with manager to provide a conductive environment for employees to accomplish their work.
Assists manager in the evaluation of processes and assists in the implementation of interventions, modifications and improvement of these processes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
