Schedule: Full-time

Attorney 4 is a key role at the Board. In this position, you will be responsible for:

Directing and overseeing the intake process for referrals regarding educator misconduct, including supervising the team members engaged in processing referrals of educator misconduct.

Reviewing referrals of educator misconduct to ensure that cases opened for investigation meet legal standards and agency policy.

Managing the office's participation in the state's retained applicant fingerprint database (Rabpack).

Responding to inquiries from public and government officials, attorneys, complainants, and educators accused of misconduct.

Performing research and analysis of legal issues regarding complex educator misconduct investigations and dispositions.

Compiling case related data and oversees the office’s disciplinary database and case management database.

Advising and assisting with law-related inquiries and ensuring timely responses.

Preparing and developing materials for presentations, hearings, and distribution.

Representing the office at various meetings and performing other assigned duties.

Admission to Ohio Bar pursuant to Section 4705.01 of Revised Code AND 12 months of experience as licensed attorney AND 6 months of experience in employee training and development.
