Actual compensation may vary as permitted by law.Job Summary: Assess and treat individuals with speech, language, oral and pharyngeal function, as well as cognitive or communicative challenges.Key Responsibilities:Implement therapy interventions using standard techniques suitable for the patient's condition.Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.Maintain clinical documentation and adhere to performance improvement guidelines.Assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services and provide information on relevant support programs.Work in a consistently alert and safe manner.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education: Master's degree requiredExperience: No prior experience necessaryPhysical Requirements:Regularly lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms.Regular use of vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation.Frequent auditory communication and ability to hear alarms and machinery sounds.Regular keyboard use and data entry.Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing 25-50 lbs.Rarely climbing.Licensure and Certifications:Resuscitation Certification: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 days of employment.
