Perform the following duties: Responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing software applications and for supporting software development teams to integrate airlines industry data into the enterprise data warehouse for analysis support. Utilize IBM DataStage in high-level design and deployment of full lifecycle terabyte-sized data warehouses. Design, develop, modify, and test software applications using SDLC life cycle, IBM DataStage, SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata technologies. Develop Framework for IBM DataStage Application Architecture design, as well as establish and enforce DataStage standards and architecture. Provide estimates on development tasks and final source and target capacity requirements. Create job flows via IBM Tivoli scheduling tool and create dependencies. Monitor and tune DataStage job performance. Ensure that system design is aligned with business requirements through appropriate documentation and requirements mapping. Troubleshoot data issues in the Data warehouse and any IBM DataStage issues. Support the development of junior staff’s DataStage skills, including best practices, both onshore and offshore.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.

5 years of experience as a software engineer or analyst working with DataStage and Teradata technologies, and demonstrated experience in: developing and supporting Teradata BTEQ's; leading code reviews; offshore developer coordination; UNIX shell programming; diagnosing and tuning IBM DataStage jobs; diagnosing and tuning Teradata SQL query issues; and working with enterprise level job scheduling tools.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electronic engineering, or a related field.
